Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Moose. I fell off the face of the blogosphere but now I’m back.

I’ve written this post 3-4 times over the past few months and each time I end up with something entirely different. Each post has a different perspective, mostly based on my current mood at the time. Here’s a quick rundown:

  1. A post rambling on about how even though sometimes criticism can hurt, if it’s coming from someone with experience, use it to learn. That’s a load of bollocks. My view since then has changed. I’ll probably write something up about my thoughts and feelings on it.
  2. A post detailing all the new and exciting things that I was going to do, which I haven’t done yet.
  3. A post about how I’d run out of money and all that fun stuff. I’m still running out of money. I’ve learned nothing.

This is hopefully my fourth and final post. One written when I’m very clear-headed and somewhat more mentally stable. That sounds more dramatic than it ought to be. It just means that all anxiety, stress, and emotion has been reigned in somewhat.

I fell off the blogging wagon around the same time exams started, and subsequently ended, and I just enjoyed summer. Sometimes you just need a break. At the time all my money was going to having fun and holiday, and I just lost the motivation to keep cooking new things all the time. I was just cooking enough to get by, and always the same stuff.

Even now I’m only cooking enough. I’m trying new recipes but cooking, photographing and writing was draining, so it’s slowed down. My time to do everything has limited somewhat too, but I’m not going to let that stop me. Things will be slower and potentially more spaced out, but that offers the opportunity for steady progression, and the chance to be more thorough and improve.

My plan moving forward is to cook one major recipe a month (they’re expensive), and another minor recipe. Alongside those, there might be some posts, rants, and rambles about life, university and all that malarkey. Something to fill the gap, but something a bit more substantial.

For now, though, hold tight. I’ve cooked two recipes (maybe more by the time I stop being lazy and post this) and their write-up will be coming soon. Photography is always improving. We’ll get there.

Moose out xoxo
